Sherburn church to hold Trivia Night

First Congregational Church of Sherburn will hold a Trivia Night event from 4-9 p.m. Friday at their church located at 212 N. Prairie St. in Sherburn. A dinner which includes homemade chili or potato ham soup, homemade bread and dessert, will be served from 4-6 p.m. The cost is $7 per person. A bake sale will be held 4 p.m. until items are sold. A silent auction will also be held with several items to choose from. Trivia will begin 6:30 p.m. to 9 p.m. Pre-sale tickets can be purchased at Bank Midwest in Sherburn. At the door, dinner tickets cost $7, trivia only costs $10 and you can buy a combo package. (save $1 off the combo when buying pre-sale tickets). Baby sitting will be available. Everyone is welcome.

Lutheran church in Truman plans event

The 23rd annual Holiday Cookie Walk will be held 8-10 a.m. Saturday at Trinity Lutheran Church, 102 North Seventh Ave. E. in Truman. Cookies, caramels, kringle, party mix, etc., will be available. They will also have goodies, along with coffee and cider, for a donation. Everyone is invited.

Winnebago church plans Saturday craft sale

Our Savior’s Lutheran Church in Winnebago will hold its annual holiday craft and bake sale from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday at their church located at 121 1st Ave. SE in Winnebago. There will be many unique vendors available, as well as many baked goods for sale. Coffee, juice and rolls will be served from 9-11 a.m. A hot, creamy turkey sandwich lunch will be served from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. for a cost of $5. Supplemental funds provided by Thrivent Financial. All are welcome to attend.
