Red Rock to hold noon lunch event
Red Rock Center’s Lunch with the Arts program will present “Rockin’ in November” with musical entertainment by Patrick Rasmussen, featuring favorites by Billy Joel, John Denver, the Eagles, Simon and Garfunkel, the Beatles and more, at noon Tuesday at Red Rock Center in Fairmont. Bring a sack lunch if desired. Coffee and refreshments will be served. Free admission. Everyone welcome.
Conservation Club sets Tuesday meeting
Martin County Conservation Club will meet 7 p.m. Tuesday in the lower level at Tami’s on the Ave., 2710 Albion Ave., in Fairmont. All members and the public are welcome to attend.
CER to offer defensive driving course
Community Education & Recreation will offer an Over 55 Defensive Driving (Refresher Course) from 5:30-9:30 p.m. Wednesday in room 1017 (Budd Room) at Fairmont Elementary School. Enter through door 1. Drivers 55 and older are eligible to receive a 10 percent discount on their auto insurance if they attend these classes every three years. If it has not been more than three years since you last attended, just the four-hour refresher course is needed. The instructor will be Phil Bachman, a trained Minnesota Highway Safety Center professional. The fee is $22 for the four-hour course.
Feather party planned in Northrop
Northrop American Legion Post 522 will hold a “feather party” beginning 6:30 p.m. Wednesday at the Legion post building in Northrop. Twenty turkeys will be given away. There will be door prizes as well. Everyone is welcome.

Tucker Schumann and Tracy Swanson, both of Sherburn, have been named to the dean’s list for terms 5 and 6 at Buena Vista University in Storm Lake, Iowa.
