St. Martin’s to hold Friday soup lunch

St. Martin’s Episcopal Church will hold a soup lunch fundraiser from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Friday at the church located at 102 N. Park St., Fairmont (next to the Fairmont library). Proceeds will benefit CREST, the caregiver’s organization for Martin County.

Class of 1951 to meet

Fairmont High School class of 1951, spouses and friends will meet for lunch 11:30 a.m. Friday at the Ranch Restaurant, Fairmont.

CER announces upcoming activity

Community Education and Recreation will hold an Introduction to Ice Hockey class for children ages 3-12 who are not registered with USA Hockey beginning Saturdays, Jan. 6 through Feb. 17 (no class Jan. 20), at the Martin County Arena, Fairmont. Children must have completed Introduction to Ice Hockey 1 (last year called Recreational Ice Hockey 1) to participate. The class will be taught by Fairmont hockey coaches, as well as high school boys and girls varsity players, in partnership with the FYHA. Sessions will be comprised of skills development. The fee is $40, which includes equipment, ice time and instruction. T-shirt included. A $25 refundable deposit paid at the time of equipment pickup is required.
