Sherburn Lions to host Sunday supper

Sherburn Lions will host a New Year’s Eve supper from 5-8 p.m. Sunday at the Sherburn American Legion Club. They will serve a choice of steak, pork chop, shrimp or combo with baked potato, vegetable, salad bar and snacks. Everyone is welcome.

Martin County Library announces closing

All Martin County libraries will be closed Monday in observance of New Year’s Day. The Fairmont Library will be open from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday. For more information, call the library at (507) 238-4207.

Fairmont class of 1960 to meet

Fairmont High School class of 1960, spouses and friends will meet for lunch 11 a.m. Tuesday at the Pizza Ranch, Fairmont.

CER announces upcoming activities

Community Education and Recreation will hold upcoming community activities. First there will be a Saturday boys basketball activity for children ages 4 through kindergarten, will be 9-9:45 a.m. Saturdays Jan. 6, 13, 20 and 27 in the annex gym at Fairmont Elementary School, 714 Victoria St., Fairmont. Please enter through door #21. High school coach Jared Thompson will help with basic fundamentals and basketball skills. The fee for the class is $28, T-shirt included. Deadline to register is Jan. 4.
