Martin County Library to end overdue fines
Beginning Jan. 1, the Martin County Library will no longer charge overdue fines. Upon check-out, all materials will still have a due date, but items returned after their due date will not be charged fines. All current library card accounts will be cleared of any remaining overdue fines as of December 31. There will still be charges for materials that are never returned, or returned damaged or with parts missing. The Martin County Library Board voted to make this change to keep the library open and accessible to all community members. Comments, questions or concerns can be directed to the library director Jenny Trushenski at firstname.lastname@example.org
