Opera House to host ‘Holiday Hoopla’

Fairmont Opera House will host a family event called “Holiday Hoopla” from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday. There will be cartoons from 10 a.m. to noon, followed by a full-feature movie. Families can enjoy craft time and refreshments, as well as photos with Santa. There is no charge for the event, but a free will offering of cash or non-perishable goods will be accepted for the Salvation Army. For more information, call the Opera House at (507) 238-4900.

Legion meeting set for Monday

The December meeting of Fairmont American Legion Post 36 will be held 11:30 a.m. Tuesday, rather than Monday evening. Meeting location is 95 Downtown Plaza, adjacent to the Blazer Bar and Grill.
