Red Rock to offer free concert today

A free holiday concert featuring Bill Busse, Joyce Schultz and Sandy Ettesvold will be held noon to 1 p.m. today at Red Rock Center for the Arts in Fairmont. Bring a sack lunch if desired. Coffee and treats will be provided.

Dance club slates Sunday event

Arc Different Drummer Dance Club will hold a dinner and dance from 4-7 p.m. Sunday at the Fairmont Holiday Inn. Please RSVP for the dinner and dance by noon today. The public is invited to attend. For more information, contact Pat Kietzer at (507) 848-5017.

Early Risers to hold meeting Wednesday

Early Risers Kiwanis Club of Fairmont will meet 6:45 a.m. Wednesday at the Ranch Restaurant, Fairmont. The program this week will feature Dr. Jonathan Buchholz, an obstetrics and gynecology doctor at Mayo Clinic Health System in Fairmont. The public is invited to attend.

United Methodist plans Wednesday supper

Fairmont United Methodist Church will host a supper from 5-6 p.m. Wednesday at the church, 119 E. Second St., Fairmont. The menu will consist of fish fillets, mashed potatoes, cabbage coleslaw, peanut butter and jelly sandwiches, homemade desserts and beverages. A donation of $2 is suggested. Everyone is welcome.

Sherburn Library plans Friday open house

The Sherburn Library will hold an open house from 3-5:30 p.m. Friday. Guests can see the library’s new look and have some refreshments. All are invited.

Sherburn Lions to sponsor Schafer benefit

The Sherburn Lions will sponsor a pancake feed and bake sale benefit for Rachel Schafer from 9 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Saturday at Martin County West High School in Sherburn. Schafer is a 2001 MCW graduate. She recently underwent open heart surgery to repair two valves, goes to dialysis three times per week and is on the transplant list awaiting a matching donor. The meal is a free will donation, and they will have a variety of baked goods and holiday treats for sale. Everyone is welcome to attend.
