Red Rock to hold Sunday music event
There will be a hymn fest 7 p.m. Sunday at Red Rock Center for the Arts, 222 E. Blue Earth Ave., Blue Earth. Refreshments will be served. The public is welcome to attend.
Great Books to meet
Great Books will meet 9:30 a.m. Monday at Harriet Richard’s home, 1310 Adams Ave., Apt. 211, Fairmont. The story is “M and L” by Sarah Kokernot.
Retired hospital employees to meet
Fairmont Community Hospital retired employees will meet for lunch 11 a.m. Monday at the Channel Inn, Fairmont. Please note the change of location. All retired hospital employees are welcome.
Library to sponsor Lego events
Kids age 7 and up are invited to join library staff for Lego Tinkering stations with Peter Hoh. They will be able to build and play with Legos. Dates and times are as follow: 12:30 p.m. Tuesday at the Sherburn Library, 4 p.m. Tuesday at the Trimont Library, 10 a.m. Wednesday at the Fairmont Library and 2 p.m. Wednesday at the Truman Library. Kara Nielsen of Fairmont was awarded a bachelor’s degree in biological chemistry during a commencement ceremony held May 22, at Grinnell College in Grinnell, Iowa.
