Historical Society to hold program Tuesday

A PowerPoint program entitled “Gone But Not Forgotten … People of Martin County” will be shown 2 p.m. Tuesday at the Pioneer Museum, Fairmont. There is no charge to attend. The public is invited.

CREST/CER to sponsor provider meeting

CREST and Fairmont Community Education and Recreation will sponsor a luncheon meeting of area service providers from noon to 1 p.m. Friday in the CER office at Fairmont Elementary School, 714 Victoria St., Fairmont. (Enter through door 15A). The meeting is meant to address the services and needs of the aging population and ways to help retired adults be able to maintain purposeful and healthy lifestyles in their homes or independent living residences. Representatives of area service provider agencies are invited to review services available and identify needs not currently be addressed. RSVP as soon as possible to CER by calling (507) 235-3141, and bring 25 copies of any service fliers to share. For more information, contact CER at the number previously given.

Welcome class of 1957 planning 60th reunion

The date of Welcome High School class of 1957’s 60th class reunion will be Aug. 12. More information will be provided at a later time. For questions, contact Darrel at (763) 257-3174.
