PM Exchange set for Thursday

A PM Exchange hosted by the Martin County Historical Society will be 5-7 p.m. Thursday. Tour the museum and parsonage, view their promotional video and enjoy refreshments. The public in invited.

Class of 1951 to meet

Fairmont High School class of 1951, spouses and friends will meet for lunch 11:30 a.m. Friday at the Ranch Restaurant, Fairmont.

Sale this weekend at Martin Luther

The spring rummage and bake sale will be held at Martin Luther High School in Northrop. The hours are 4-8 p.m. Thursday, 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. Friday, and 8 a.m. to noon Saturday. They will have a $2 bag sale also on Saturday. There will be lots of bargains with infant through adult clothing and shoes, toys, books, household items, furniture and more. Proceeds will support ongoing educational services at MLHS. Everyone is welcome to attend.

Korean vets set Saturday meeting

Korean Veterans Chapter 254 will meet 9 a.m. Saturday at the Ranch Restaurant, Fairmont. The guest speaker will be Martin County Veterans Service officer Douglas Landsteiner. All Korean veterans are welcome.

Bake sale fundraiser slated this weekend

There will be a bake sale fundraiser 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday at Fleet & Farm Supply Ace Hardware, 1300 N. State St., Fairmont. All proceeds will be used to care for the homeless animals at the Martin County Humane Society animal shelter. Everyone is invited.

Churches to present Palm Sunday cantata

Madelia Church of Christ, located at 513 First St. SE in Madelia, will be the host for the cantata “It is Finished,” an Easter musical presentation arranged and orchestrated by Russell Mauldin at 4 p.m. Sunday. Members of the choir under the direction of Rebecca Davis are from the Fairmont Christian Church, Madelia Church of Christ, Truman Church of Christ and River Valley Christian Church in New Ulm. After the presentation, the women from the church invites everyone for fellowship and refreshments in the Fellowship Hall. There is no charge to attend and no offering will be taken.

Historical Society to host presentation

Rediscover the lost baseball career of John Wesley Davidson, presented by Pete Gorton of the Donaldson Network, from 2-7 p.m. Monday at Pioneer Museum, 304 E. Blue Earth Ave., Fairmont. Donaldson was one of the best black pitchers in baseball history whose career spanned 1908-1941. There is no charge to attend and the public is invited.
