Arc sets Monday meeting

Arc Family and Friends will meet 6 p.m. Monday in the George Room at the Fairmont Holiday Inn. The public is welcome to join them to see what is happening in the lives of people with disabilities. For more details, call the Arc office at (507) 235-8580.

Class of 1949 to have breakfast

Fairmont High School class of 1949 will meet for breakfast 9:30 a.m. Tuesday at the Ranch Restaurant, Fairmont.

Conservation Club to meet

Martin County Conservation Club will hold its annual meeting 7 p.m. Tuesday at Tami’s on the Ave., 2710 Albion Ave., Fairmont. They will be voting on three directors with at least one will be new. Also, the banquet chair, Mike Ebert, will report on banquet details, prizes and the need for volunteers. For members who have not paid their 2017 dues, please bring them with raffle and banquet tickets.

Baby shower planned for Tuesday evening

A baby shower celebration for Emma Jean Christenson, daughter of Jason and Megan Christenson, will be 7 p.m. Tuesday at the East Chain Evangelical Free Church, 507 280th Ave., just east of East Chain. All family and friends are invited.

55+ driver program scheduled

Minnesota Highway Safety Center will offer two a 55+ Driver Improvement Course next week in our area. The courses are taught by a certified instructor from the Minnesota Highway Safety and Research Center. There will be a 4 hour Refresher Course from 5:30-9:30 p.m. Wednesday in the Community Education room at Fairmont Elementary School, 714 Victoria St., Fairmont. The fee for the four-hour refresher course is $22, and the fee for the eight-hour course is $26. These courses are open to the public; pre-registration is required.
